The 22nd International Conference on Aids and STIs in Africa in Zimbabwe with GWHREI in attendance.
The theme of the ongoing conference is AIDS IS NOT OVER: Address inequalities, accelerate inclusion and innovation.
The conference is organized to Respond to HIV/Aids, Ebola Virus, Monkeypox Covid 19 and any other emerging diseases.
-Mainstream respect for Equity, Inclusion and Diversity in the control and mitigation of the impact of disease.
-Mitigate the impact of Hepatitis, Tuberculosis and Malaria through health system strengthening.
-Sustain and increase domestic financing and community response.
In the welcome address speech by the ICASA 2023 president in person of HON. Dr David Pagwesese Parirenyawa stated that there is a need to address Inequality and accelerate Inclusion and innovation not only to tackle HIV/AIDs but also other diseases. The fight for human rights, equality, GBV, and inclusion can help bring HIV to an end by 2030.
